MIchael Laskey was born in 1944. He co-edited Smiths Knoll for twnety-one years and co-founded the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival, which he directed through its first decade. He works as a poetry tutor and lives in Suffolk where he runs The Garlic Press, publishing mainly Suffolk poets. He has been shortlisted for the T S Eliot Prize and his books have twice been PBS Recommendations. Between Ourselves is his fifth collection.
