Flying Change
Naomi Jaffa was born in 1961, grew up in London and Scarborough and read English at Oxford. Daughter of professional musicians, she started out in classical music management before moving to East Anglia in 1991. She worked for the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival for 22 years, notably as Director of The Poetry Trust from 1999-2014. In 2016 she co-founded Poetry People CIC, to devise and deliver creative community projects through schools, care homes, workshops, video poems, podcasts and live events. In 2019 their year-long Heritage Lottery project ‘The Grit’ won the national Creative Learning Award in the Literature & Creative Writing category. She has published two pamphlets, The Last Hour of Sleep (Five Leaves Press, 2003) and Driver (The Garlic Press, 2017). Flying Change is her first full collection.
