Eleanor J Vale left school at sixteen and enjoyed a nursing/midwifery career. She gained a BA Hons in Social Services with the Open University and it was during this time, discovering modern feminist poets such as Audre Lorde and Jackie Kay, that she developed her love of poetry. She lives in Suffolk.
